Each Iai-do student must understand the following concepts:

  • To practice it without the idea of using it.
  • To concentrate in one's self and the opponent, imagining and sensing their actions before they take them.
  • Be calm and ready at any moment.
  • Maintain proper posture even during unexpected attacks.

Although, the days of the samurai are long gone, yet here at JMAC we are committed to spread the ideology of bushido (warrior's code or known as chivalry) throughout our everyday life.  Eishin-Ryu, Batto-jutsu, kenjutsu are means of understanding budo (the way of martial arts).
