Ju jitsu: Ju meaning, “gentle” and jitsu meaning, “art”. This martial art is truly the translation of gentle movement. Goho (hard technique such as punching and kicking) is combined with juho (soft technique such as take downs, throws, and joint locks) resulting in a means of self-defense.

Each Class will cover:

Joint locks and  hand release techniques (which are commonly used in arrest and control curriculum's) are part of our everyday practice.  Breaking one's fall by the use of ukemi (rolling techniques), punching and kicking using close range distance towards vital areas of the body, choking and  joint-pining will all be utilized in each and every class.  The student will start to use speed, timing, leverage, and distance versus strength and force to control one's opponent.  The optimum goal of "Kempo Aiki-Ju jitsu" is to move with harmony with one's self.
